MAP INDEX

Whenever possible the map localities are based on exact latitude and longitude of the collection site. However because of vague collection data and often an over abundance same site names it has not always been possible to pin point the exact locality. In these cases the locality has either been left off the map or an attempt has been made to "narrow" down the possibilities and the closest likely locality has been used. In an effort to further increase the value of the maps, type localities for each species will be denoted with a red rather than a black dot. Additional information regarding the type locality will be available by highlighting the dot.

The maps themselves were produced with a shareware mapping program called Versamap, further information about this program may be obtained from versamap.
